Aalborg, Kick-off meeting, DK

01/25 - 2022 10:53

Date: 30th of January 2022

The new year is off to a good start, and what is more important is that we have launched the PRECaiSE project. Eight partners from six countries have come together to develop software that can help prevent falls.

One of the first things we need to uncover is how the health sector differs from country to country and what similarities there are. We all have a common goal to prevent falls in frail older people in our society. The interest in fall prevention is significant, and there is a need for a solution in the healthcare system and on an individual level. It will be interesting to see what we can develop when we combine AI with physical training.

We have spent two days getting to know each other and the project better, including excellent presentations of DigiRehab and what has been achieved in Aalborg Municipality in collaboration with DigiRehab.

The meeting was hosted in the Center for Welfare Technology in Aalborg, Denmark, so there was plenty of opportunity for the participants to take a tour of just a tiny fraction of the welfare technology that exists and is used on a large scale in the Danish municipalities.
